Authorities ignore appeal of father of missing athlete Anna Tsomartova

The father of Anna Tsomartova, who disappeared after the competition in Kaspiysk, has received no reaction from authorities to his appeal to help searching for his daughter. Apart from employees of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) and Anna's relatives, volunteers from Dagestan and Ossetia are engaged in the girl's search.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Anna Tsomartova was last seen in the territory of the FSB (Russian Federal Security Service) sanatorium in Kaspiysk, after which she disappeared; this was stated in her father's petition posted on the Change.org website. He asked Russian President, Vladimir Putin, to help investigate the case.

The girl's mother said that Anna disappeared after she was defeated in the tournament fight and was depressed. Investigators have opened a murder case, but an abduction version is also being considered.

According to Nikolai Tsomartov, Anna's father, there is no free access to the territory of the FSB sanatorium in Kaspiysk, where his daughter was last seen.

Diana Tsomartova, Anna's mother, has stated that CCTV cameras are installed in the territory of the sanatorium, and relatives were shown records thereof, but "there is a feeling that the videos were edited."
