Kadyrov reports on giving money and awards to athletes

The coaches of Chechen sports clubs have received a million roubles each; the athletes were awarded 500,000 roubles each; and the coach of the "Akhmat" Fighting Club was also presented with a car. This was reported by the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, who added that the coaches and athletes were encouraged at the expense of the Kadyrov Fund.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ramzan Kadyrov more than once gave expensive cars as gifts. On October 11, 2018, he congratulated Khabib Nurmagomedov, a Dagestani fighter, on his victory over Conor McGregor and, on behalf of the Kadyrov Fund, presented him with the keys to a Mercedes W222 car worth at least 6 million roubles. Social networks users then disputed about the need to give athletes such expensive gifts and recalled subsidies from the federal centre and fees to the Akhmat Kadyrov Fund.

The head of Chechnya has stated that he had awarded Murad Bichuev, a coach of the "Akhmat" Fighting Club; Khanpasha Magomadov, a boxing coach; Aslambek Shakhgiriev, a judo coach; Rasul Djukaev, a freestyle wrestling coach; and Abdul-Aziz Abdulvakhabov, the winner of the "Akhmat" Absolute Championship. Ramzan Vismuradov, the President of the Chechen Boxing Federation, received the Medal "For Services to Chechnya".

Bichuev received a Yukon SUV from the American company GMC. As follows from the information on the website auto.ru, the cost of such cars starts from 13 million roubles.
