State Duma MP offers to create "Akhmat" children's battalion

The "Akhmat" children's battalion can promote peoples' friendship, Dmitry Kuznetsov, a Russian State Duma MP, has stated noting the importance of the participation of men from Chechnya and other regions of Northern Caucasus in upbringing the youth of the entire country.

The goal of the children's version of the "Akhmat" battalion called the "Akhmat" Academy of Peoples' Friendship should not be training in military operations, but promotion of friendship among nations and education of young people; it follows from the MP Dmitry Kuznetsov's post. He has noted that he does not know "a more inspiring modern example of nations' friendship for the youth than the 'Akhmat' special forces unit, where no show and officialdom, but real brotherhood is reigning."

Besides, the politician has suggested that Russian fathers follow the example of raising young men in the Caucasus," says his Telegram channel.

At the SIZO (pre-trial prison), Adam Kadyrov, a son of the head of Chechnya, has beaten up Nikita Zhuravel, a Volgograd resident, who was arrested for burning the Koran. Ramzan Kadyrov praised his son for this act. After this, Adam Kadyrov received the title of Hero of Chechnya and the highest state awards of Karachay-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria.

On January 23, it became known that the "Akhmat" combined detachment had been sent from Chechnya to the special military operation (SMO) zone. The departure of employees of the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) to Ukraine was hardly voluntary, but a refusal could lead to persecution of them and their relatives, human rights defenders believe.
