Wife of mobilized man from Volgograd Region demands to speed up his after-wound treatment

After being wounded in Ukraine, Oleg Rybkin, a mobilized Dubovka resident, needs urgent surgery and examination, but the command of his military unit is protracting with the decision, Irina Rybkina, Oleg's wife, has complained. The command's inaction violates his rights; the militaries involved should contact the prosecutor's office and the court, a lawyer has explained.

Irina Rybkina has stated that her husband Oleg, 45, was mobilized on September 25, 2022. They are raising a four-year-old child. During the hostilities in Ukraine, Oleg was wounded twice and suffered severe leg injuries, but he was given no chance to undergo a commission. The Rybkin family faced bureaucratic obstacles.

The wife believes that with the fitness category "D" Oleg should receive a life-long pension, and he is also entitled to a payment of 3 million roubles in compensation. According to Irina, the command of her husband's military is trying to deprive him of these opportunities.

"He can't walk. Well, if he dies there (in the SMO zone), you'll still have to pay for a fighter's loss. Since December 10, 2023, he's been in Chechnya ... He lives in a barracks there and goes to formation every day on crutches," Irina has added.

She has also stated that her husband has not been able to obtain a combat veteran's certificate for a year now, as he has not passed a military medical examination.

The situation with Oleg Rybkin is a typical violation of the law on conscription and military service, Ivan Ivanov, a lawyer, has explained. He has referred to his sad experience of rendering legal support. Thus, in a similar situation, the command of the unit "stubbornly failed to receive" a similar report from another mobilized person.
