Kuban resident complains about absence of medical care in SIZO

Nikolai Nabiev, a resident of Kuban, accused in a case on preparing to destroy cell phone towers, has complained that the administration of the SIZO (pre-trial prison) in which he is being kept refuses to provide him with medical treatment. An advocate notes that Nikolai Nabiev suffered a heart attack twice and that he is a disabled person of Invalid III Group.

According to the investigators’ version, Nikolai Nabiev, a 65-year-old resident of the Krasnodar Territory, together with two other defendants, Marina Zakharova and Sergey Kuzovenko, were members of a grouping that purchased weapons to destroy cell phone towers. Nikolai Nabiev is accused of participating in an illegal armed formation (IAF) and arms trafficking.

Nikolai Nabiev is being kept in the SIZO in Armavir. According to the man’s complaint, he repeatedly applied for medical assistance to the SIZO administration, but no medical care was not provided to him. During the trial, an ambulance was called for Nikolai Nabiev, reported advocate Sergey Kulyanitsa, as quoted by the “Kavkaz.Realii”*.

Earlier, the “Caucasian Knot” has reported about protests against the installation of cell phone towers in the regions of Southern Russia. In July 2021, residents of the village of Skelevatsky in Krasny Sulin in the Rostov Region held a protest against the installation of a cell phone tower near their houses. The villagers complained that they were afraid of the effects of radiation on their health state.

In the spring of 2020, the spread of one of the conspiracy theories resulted in the burning of a GSM tower in North Ossetia. In May, at a gathering, residents of the Dagestani village of Novy Chirkei also threatened to burn down a cell tower.
