Law enforcers ask Gadjiev's acquaintances about their presence at picket venue

Policemen have demanded explanation from Abdulmumin Gadjiev's friends and colleagues, who came to the venue of the solo picket in Makhachkala held by Magomed Magomedov, a deputy editor-in-chief of the "Chernovik" outlet. The law enforcers' reaction to the picket itself was calm, Mr Magomedov has noted.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Gadjiev's colleagues treat his criminal case as political persecution and regularly hold solo pickets in his support. On December 18, the picket was held by the above Magomed Magomedov.

One of Gadjiev's colleagues has reported that policemen demanded from some of those present to explain the reasons for being there. Some of them gave such explanations.

The reaction of passers-by and car drivers to the above solo picket was heightened, Mr Magomedov has added.

The defence has no plans to present new proofs of Gadjiev's innocence, since the criminal case materials have "plenty of such proofs of Gadjiev's innocence," Arsen Shabanov, an advocate, has explained.
