After criticism, Derbent teacher explains herself for words about Palestinian conflict

The words about staged videos from the Palestinian-Israeli conflict were pronounced during a talk with students about fake information, a teacher from the Derbent Medical College has explained in response to criticism from social network users. Most commentators demanded that the woman be fired.

The teacher has recorded a video explaining her words about what is happening in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone, the "Sota" outlet reports in its Telegram channel. "She told students about the staged videos of civilian casualties that 'Hamas' was filming. A record of her words was actively spread in social networks. As a result, the woman was forced to record an apology, saying that she was worried about Palestine and was a 'God-fearing' person," the outlet says.

The Derbent Medical College has posted clarifications about the video in its Telegram channel. "The teacher and students, as medics, expressed their empathy for the mass death of children and talked about the difficulty of medics' work in this conflict. Since there is official information about thousands of deaths, naturally, one cannot say that this is not true," the publication said.

It was also explained to students that many fakes are being spread online along with true information.

In the Telegram channel, many commentators have sharply condemned the teacher, addressed her with insults and curses, accompanied by anti-Semitic statements.
