Daudov threatens to punish parents for beating teenager by their son

Chechen authorities will not allow children to grow up cruel, Magomed Daudov, the Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, has stated in his comment on the video of a teenager beating up his peer; however, earlier, Daudov approved the beating of the arrested Nikita Zhuravel by Kadyrov's 15-year-old son. This time, Speaker Daudov threatened to punish the boy's parents; and the prosecutor's office reported on the launch of a check.

The Telegram channel of the "Grozny-Inform" News Agency has posted a video showing a teenager hitting a child noticeably shorter in the head with his elbow and foot. The victim unsuccessfully tries to dodge and shield his face from the blows.

The Chechen prosecutor has initiated a check of the incident, which was brought to the public attention by the reader of the "Caucasian Knot" named deangelo. "A new topic that has caused a great resonance in Chechnya is a video that was spread among WhatsApp users, in which a local teenager is brutally kicking his peer," the reader has written.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in August, Volgograd resident Nikita Zhuravel, who was arrested in Grozny in connection with the burning down of the Koran, was beaten up in a similar manner. On September 25, Ramzan Kadyrov posted a video of the beating of Zhuravel and praised his son for this act. The actions of Kadyrov's son were approved by Adam Delimkhanov, a State Duma MP, Magomed Daudov, the Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, and Akhmed Dudaev, the Chechen Minister of National Policy.

The beating of a defenceless person is contrary to Chechen customs, Akhmet Yarlykapov, an Orientalist, and Ruslan Kutaev, an expert on the Caucasus, have pointed out.
