Kadyrov calls on Chechen residents to test their sons at front line

Ramzan Kadyrov has called on residents of Chechnya to test their sons by sending them to war. The leader of Chechnya has again criticized those who avoid participating in hostilities.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that after the announcement of the partial mobilization, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has called those who do not want to go to Ukraine “cowards, traitors, and second-class citizens.” Ramzan Kadyrov regularly reports on sending new groups of volunteers to Ukraine. On October 9, the leader of Chechnya expressed his willingness to send Chechen military personnel as peacekeepers to the zone of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“The one who abandons what his fathers defended is an unreliable person. And the one who hides a draft dodger is also of the same sort of people,” noted Ramzan Kadyrov.

The leader of Chechnya has emphasized he believes it is wrong to want everyone but their own family to fight. “On the contrary, you need to send your son to war, at least to test him. If not to fight, then at least to show him what war is,” stated Ramzan Kadyrov as quoted by the “Chechnya Today” information agency.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that Ramzan Kadyrov repeatedly called on the residents of the republic headed by him to go to participate in the special military operation. In December 2022, the leader of Chechnya claimed that all participants in the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine from Chechnya, including law enforcers, went to it voluntarily.

However, human rights defenders and residents of Chechnya reported cases of coercion to participate in the special military operation. So, one of the groups of volunteers sent to Ukraine on July 25 included Akhmed Zakaev’s nephew Khusein Zakaev, who was detained by the police in May.
