Resident of Kropotkin fined for posts in social media

The court has sentenced Yuri Kobelev, a resident of the town of Kropotkin (Krasnodar Territory), to a fine, finding his posts in the social network to be discrediting to the Russian Army.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 20, the Kropotkin City Court received an administrative case against Yuri Kobelev, who was accused of discrediting the Russian Army.

The Kropotkin City Court has found Yuri Kobelev guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 30,000 roubles, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project has informed.

Kobelev has placed three posts in the "Odnoklassniki" social network about the actions of Russian militaries in Ukraine. The defendant "has fully admitted his guilt and asked not to punish him severely."

"Taking into account Yuri Kobelev's and his family's financial situation ... I believe it necessary to impose a penalty in the form of an administrative fine on him," the judge's position is presented by the project.
