Volgograd blogger apologizes for insulting Muslims

Pavel Prokudin, a blogger from Volgograd, has apologized for insulting Muslims and residents of the Caucasus in his video stream. He has explained that his statements were provoked by insults against Russians and himself.

The record of the stream, in which Prokudin insulted Muslims, was posted in social networks, including in the "Atypical Makhachkala" Telegram channel. In the record, the young man repeatedly mentioned Muslims who grew three-meter beards and listen to Allah, mentioning numerous restrictions in Islam, while actively using profanity. At the same time, he expressed insults against all "Caucasians". During the stream, he explained that Muslims are unhappy with his long bangs.

"I apologize to all Caucasians, Muslims for hurting your religion. I was wrong. There are good and bad in every nation," the blogger said in his new video.

Kifakh Bata Mokhamad, the Mufti of the Central Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) of the Volgograd Region, has called the blogger's words a provocation, the V1 outlet reports.

On May 20, Nikita Zhuravel, a local resident, was detained in Volgograd, who recorded a video with the burning of the Koran. During the interrogation, he stated that he had done it at the direction of Ukrainian special services. His criminal case was transferred to Chechnya. The transfer of his case to Chechnya makes one fear for his life, Instagram* users have pointed out.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that a student from Penza, the author of the video from the mosque in Shali, had apologized "to the entire Chechen people" for insulting women after he was "found" in his hometown. Commentators in social networks found his apology insufficient.
