Kadyrov's nephew appointed adviser-assistant to head of Chechnya for power bloc

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has appointed his nephew, Khamzat Kadyrov, as his adviser-assistant for the power bloc.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 2, 2023, Kadyrov announced the appointment of his nephew, Khamzat Kadyrov, as Vice-Premier Minister and Minister of Property and Land Relations of Chechnya.

Kadyrov periodically appoints his relatives to high government positions. In February 2022, his daughter Khutmat became deputy head of the secretariat of the head of Chechnya; and on March 15, she became the curator of the republic's healthcare system.

In his Telegram channel, Adam Delimkhanov, a State Duma MP, has congratulated Khamzat Kadyrov on his appointment. He has noted that Khamzat is "a highly responsible and capable young man", and also has "a solid work experience, where he showed himself from the best side."

In 2012, Khamzat Kadyrov graduated from the Khafiz School (Koran keeper, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"), after which he was appointed principal of the Khafiz School named after Zelimkhan Kadyrov (Ramzan Kadyrov's elder brother) in the clan's village of Akhmat-Yurt. In particular, earlier, he held the position of assistant to the head of Chechnya, the head of the administration of the Kurchaloi District, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports of Chechnya, as well as the head of the Chechen Secretariat, the ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company) "Grozny" has reported.

The governance in Chechnya, as well as in Russia as a whole, is based on a system of personal loyalty, Dmitry Oreshkin, a political analyst, has explained. Kadyrov himself has treated those residents of Chechnya who are dissatisfied with the appointments of his relatives as "goats" and "shaitans."
