On March 30, 2022, his home was searched, after which law enforcers drew up a protocol against him for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces for the pacifist slogan on the group's avatar. On October 6, 2022, the court fined Votanovsky under the article on participation in an undesirable organization. In February this year, Votanovsky said that after filming and posting photos of the graves of the militaries, who perished in Ukraine, in his Telegram channel, he began receiving threats.
