Kadyrov voices threats to participants of video about burning of Koran by militaries

The leader of Chechnya voiced threats against people in Ukrainian military uniforms in a video who burned a page from the Koran in a fire. TikTok users considered the video staged: they pointed out an unnatural voice, the use of Russian words in Ukrainian speech, and the lack of faces in the video.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on January 22, Ramzan Kadyrov sharply condemned Rasmus Paludan, he leader of the far-right Danish political party “Stram Kurs” (“Straight Course” or “Hard Line”), who on January 21 burned the Koran in front of the Embassy of Turkey in Stockholm.

Ramzan Kadyrov posted a video from TikTok on his Telegram channel. The video depicts some people in military uniforms similar to those of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tearing out a page from the Koran to kindle a fire. When describing the book, authors of the video use offensive comparisons.

Ramzan Kadyrov declared that no one was allowed “to mock the Holy Koran with impunity” and promised that punishment would fall on the perpetrators’ heads.

Meanwhile, TikTok users pointed out that the accent and poor knowledge of Ukrainian language by the authors made them believe that the video was staged.
