Mobilized locksmith from Volgograd Region demands reservation through the court

The Volgograd Garrison Military Court has begun to considering the claim of Andrei Davydenko, who was mobilized to the zone of the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine. He demands that his conscription be recognized as illegal, since he had a reservation at the enterprise where he worked.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that residents of Southern Russia, including the Volgograd Region, have repeatedly stated the unlawful, in their opinion, mobilization of the men who have serious health problems or have a reservation (i.e. liberation from mobilization due to professional or other reasons).

Andrei Davydenko is 32 years old and has three dependent children.

"On September 23, 2022, I received a summons for mobilization. The next day I came to the military commissariat (registration and enlistment office) with the due belongings, and on the same day I was enrolled in a military unit. There was no medical commission ... I have health problems, since I suffer from chronic diseases. In January and February, I was treated in the Kamyshin hospital. After rehabilitation, yesterday (on March 13), I returned to my military unit," Andrei has explained.

According to Nikolai Khalabuda, Andrei's advocate, his client had a reservation at the time of the call, but due to bureaucratic delays, he could not use his reservation.

"Davydenko is a valuable employee for us: he has many years of rich experience in his specialty; he has a higher technical education. He legally has a reservation," Gennady Yakushik, the company's lawyer, has stated.

The reservation is understood as the exemption from the mobilization of workers whose work is needed to ensure the continuous operation of the enterprises, "which in one way or another are performing military orders," Sergey Ivaschenko, a lawyer, has explained.
