Kadyrov's stallion stolen in Czech Republic

In the Czech Republic, policemen have launched an inquiry into the theft of Zazu, a stallion worth about USD 18,000. The stolen horse is on the list of Ramzan Kadyrov's property that fell under the sanctions, the country's Finance Ministry has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in October 2014, the organizers of races in Germany froze the prize money for the victory of the stallions Zazu and Fast Finish, owned by Kadyrov, due to the fact that the head of Chechnya was on the sanctions list of the European Union (EU). The stable with Kadyrov's horses is located in the Czech village of Krabchitse, because due to the sanctions, his three race and two breeding stallions worth USD 6 million cannot be taken out of the Czech Republic for several years, the outlet named "Hlidacipes.org" noted in March 2017.

According to the "Idnes" outlet, Zazu worth about USD 18,000 stolen in the Czech Republic is on the list of Ramzan Kadyrov's property that is under the sanctions.

According to Jezdci.cz, Kadyrov bought the stallion Zazu in 2012 from the German company WH Sport International in order for the horse to take part in the Dubai World Cup, a prestigious horse race with a prize pool of USD 30.5 million in 2023. In total, this stallion took part in 36 races, won nine of them and won over EUR 1.2 million.

Let us remind you that horses are one of Kadyrov's incomes. One of the horses, according to Kadyrov, was presented to him by the Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. Human rights defenders have noted that the cost of a horse significantly exceeded the allowable value of gifts that Russian officials may receive.
