Ingush blogger reports law enforcers' visit to his father

Law enforcers have summoned the elderly father of Ruslan Youloy, a blogger and an activist, for questioning. Ruslan links this interrogation with his oppositional statements.

Employees of the "E" Centre (Centre for Combating Extremism) told the elderly man that his son is a member of the newly created "Committee of Ingush Independence", Ruslan Youloy said, stressing that he does not support Russia's actions in Ukraine, but he has nothing to do with the above Committee. According to the blogger, in recent years he has been living in Odessa and running a YouTube channel on Islamic topics, the "Kavkaz.Realii"* project reports.

Ruslan has suggested that law enforcers' actions have to do with his public statements in support of protesters in Magas and statements against the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine.

On January 7, a congress of Ingush activists was held in Istanbul, where they announced the creation of the "Committee of Ingush Independence"; it includes independent public and political figures.
