Wives of mobilized Volgograd residents complain to prosecutor's office

Women from the Volgograd Region have stated that their husbands are being held in custody after they refused to take part in hostilities; they receive no medical care and adequate food. The wives of those mobilized have asked the prosecutor's office to release their husbands, transfer them to another unit and not use them in military operations.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a group of Volgograd residents recorded a video message to President Vladimir Putin with a request to help so that their relatives, who were sent to the zone of military operation as part of mobilization, would not be sent to the frontline. The women explained that their husbands and children have no proper skills; many also have health problems; however, they were sent to the front without any medical examination.

The wives of nine mobilized men from the Volgograd Region have sent their applications to the main military prosecutor's office that their husbands had been placed in a "prison for those who had refused" locate in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) after on December 20, they refused to take part in hostilities, the Telegram channel entitled "Military Ombudsman" has reported.

According to the wives, their mobilized relatives are not provided with due medical care; they are threatened with reprisal and subjected to torture by hunger; they are given one food ration per day for nine persons. The application also states that those mobilized are not paid any monetary allowances.
