Ramzan Kadyrov receives award from National Guard of Russia

Ramzan Kadyrov has received the Medal “For Comradeship-in-Arms” of the National Guard of Russia, which is awarded for strengthening military cooperation, including with other countries. This year, Ramzan Kadyrov was awarded the ranks of Lieutenant General and Colonel General, as well as the Order of Alexander Nevsky.

On October 5, Ramzan Kadyrov announced that he had been promoted to the rank of Colonel General. In September and October, the leader of Chechnya, who actively covers the course of the special military operation on social media and reports on the dispatch of volunteers to Ukraine, repeatedly voiced harshly criticism concerning the actions of the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) in Ukraine.

Political analysts interviewed by the “Caucasian Knot” argued about the motives for conferring a new title on the leader of Chechnya. The rank of Colonel General was evidence of the recognition of the Ramzan Kadyrov’s merits in the special military operation, Sergey Zhavoronkov believes. Retired Interior Ministry Colonel Yevgeny Chernousov suggested that Ramzan Kadyrov could take a post in the National Guard of Russia.

Ramzan Kadyrov boasted of the new award on his Telegram channel.

This year, the Labour Valour of Russia organization awarded Ramzan Kadyrov with the badge of honour “Valour of Inspired Labour”, and in July, the leader of Chechnya announced that he had been awarded the Order of “Merit for Dentistry”.
