Investigators react to incident with children of Dagestani woman
Investigators have launched a checking after the children of a native of Dagestan, who achieved the restriction of parental rights of their father, threatened to jump off the fourth level of the building. In a video posted in social media, the children said they had been humiliated and beaten up.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in March 2021, the court satisfied the claim of a Dagestani woman for custody over her children; and on July 16 – about the restriction of the children's father parental rights, with whom the mother was divorced. On October 14 of the same year, the children were handed over to their mother.
The Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has begun its check after reports that in Kaliningrad, three children locked themselves inside an apartment on the fourth level and threatened to jump out of the window. Later, a video appeared on the Internet, recorded by the children themselves, in which they reported that they had locked themselves from their mother, who "had insulted them and left them hungry."
"We feel bad here; we want to go to our grandparents, where we are loved and fed," the girl said in the video.
The children were persuaded to leave the apartment; and investigators are working with them now. The local Imam has stated that the children were temporarily placed in a rehabilitation centre.
