Resident of Rostov Region placed in strict isolation in SIZO after his arrest

After his arrest, Igor Paskar, a resident of the Rostov Region, who threw a Molotov cocktail at the FSB building, was placed in a SIZO (pre-trial prison) in Krasnodar, controlled by the special service, and not a single letter was handed over to him there. Now Igor Paskar has been transferred to a SIZO, where the conditions of isolation are not so strict, human rights defenders report.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on June 16, in Krasnodar, 46-year-old Igor Paskar was detained, who threw a Molotov cocktail at the building of the regional FSB department, and as a result, a foot mat near the entrance caught fire. Igor Paskar was accused of committing a terror act and vandalism motivated by political hatred.

Igor Paskar was placed in SIZO-5 in Krasnodar after his arrest, and during that time not a single letter was handed over to him. Moreover, in September, warders of the SIZO did not accept a parcel with food and personal belongings for Igor Paskar, the human rights project “Zone of Solidarity” reported on its Telegram channel.

Let us remind you that oppositionist Gennady Gudkov, a former State Duma member, said that in accordance with the standards adopted by civilized countries, burning a foot mat by Igor Paskar may be considered as a maximum of petty hooliganism. At the same time, gallery owner Marat Gelman considered the actions of the Volgograd residents an expression of protest.
