Colleagues of journalist Gadjiev hold solo pickets in Makhachkala

In Makhachkala, solo pickets were held by journalists Magomed Magomedov and Idris Yusupov. The activist demanded to stop the criminal prosecution of Abdulmumin Gadjiev and release political prisoners. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the weekly newspaper “Chernovik” (Rough Draft).

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that colleagues of Abdulmumin Gadjiev, the editor of the weekly newspaper “Chernovik”, consider the criminal case against him to be political persecution and regularly hold protest actions in support of him. So, on October 10, three solo pickets were held by Magomed Magomedov, the deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Chernovik”, Magdy Kamalov, the founder of the newspaper, and Idris Yusupov, a journalist of the publication “Novoye Delo” (New Clause).

Let us remind you that Abdulmumin Gadjiev, as well as Abubakar Rizvanov, the head of the “Ansar” charitable foundation, and Kemal Tambiev, were accused of financing terrorism. According to the investigators’ version, Abdulmumin Gadjiev, Abubakar Rizvanov, and Kemal Tambiev, raised 68 million roubles and 200 thousand US dollars for terrorists under the pretext of building mosques and helping the poor. Abdulmumin Gadjiev insists that he is not guilty.
