Menyailo announces formation of a combined detachment of volunteers to be sent to Ukraine

Today, Sergey Menyailo, the leader of North Ossetia, has announced that volunteer battalions formed in the republic have already included 700 people, and by the end of September, it is planned to create a combined detachment to be sent to Ukraine.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on August 29, Sergey Menyailo, the leader of North Ossetia, requested the leaders of the regions of the republic to form volunteer detachments to be sent to Ukraine. The leader of North Ossetia announced the above as a new criterion for assessing the activities of municipal officials.

During a staff meeting in the regional government, Sergey Menyailo has announced that the volunteer battalions from North Ossetia already number 700 people. The leader of the republic has also noted that those battalions provide “fire support to army units,” the “Osnova” publication reports today.

According to Sergey Menyailo, by the end of September, it is planned to form a combined detachment of volunteers in the republic who will take part in the special military operation in Ukraine. “Part of the detachment that we are forming now already stays at the training ground. The main part of the detachment is made up of reserve officers and those who have combat experience,” announced the leader of North Ossetia as quoted by the “15th Region” publication today.
