Protesters in Vienna oppose sending fighters from Chechnya to Ukraine

Members of the Chechen Diaspora have held a series of solo pickets in Vienna and announced similar daily actions against sending fighters from Chechnya to Ukraine.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 16, amid Ramzan Kadyrov's reports about sending another group of special fighters to Ukraine, a video of an oath recited by combatants from Chechnya appeared in social networks, pledging to "wage gazavat in the name of Allah."

On September 18, members of the Chechen Diaspora living in Austria held solo pickets in front of the Russian Embassy in Vienna. They demanded to stop sending residents of Chechnya to Ukraine, the "Kavkaz Realii"* project reports.

Members of the Diaspora are starting a series of daily solo pickets, said Roza Dunaeva, one of the protesters, adding that they have also planned a mass rally.

*The project was included by the Russian Ministry of Justice into the register of foreign media outlets acting as foreign agents.
