Kadyrov proposes to place air defence base in mountains of Chechnya

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has stated that air defence systems are in demand due to the need to introduce new strategic military solutions in Russia in the mountains of Chechnya, on the southern borders of Russia.

“The air defence base can be deployed on the place of a tank unit in the Shali District. Anything can be expected from the enemy at any moment, so we need pre-emptive tactical measures,” Ramzan Kadyrov has written today in his Telegram channel.

By 11:00 a.m. Moscow time, the above post in the Telegram channel of Ramzan Kadyrov gained about 481,500 pageviews and 3820 comments. Most of their users expressed their support for the leader of Chechnya.

Let us remind you on June 26, Ramzan Kadyrov announced that four military battalions – “Sever-Akhmat”, “Yug-Akhmat”, “Zapad-Akhmat”, and “Vostok-Akhmat” – would be formed in Chechnya, which would include “exclusively Chechen guys.” On June 28, the “Chechnya Segodnya” (Chechnya Today) news agency reported that two battalions – “Vostok-Akhmat” and “Zapad-Akhmat” – had already been manned. On July 18, it was reported about the completion of the recruitment for the “Sever-Akhmat” battalion.

Earlier, on July 17, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov threatened those who would admit the idea of refusing to go to Ukraine that they would go to hell.
