Kadyrov reports staffing "North-Akhmat" regiment

The "North-Akhmat" regiment under the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) is staffed with the "fighters experienced in military operations in Syria and Ukraine," the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 26, Ramzan Kadyrov announced that four MoD's battalions would be formed in Chechnya – the "North-Akhmat", "South-Akhmat", "West-Akhmat" and "East-Akhmat", which will be recruited "exclusively by Chechen guys." Two battalions, the "East-Akhmat" and "West-Akhmat", have already been staffed, the "Chechnya Today: News Agency reported on June 28. On July 17, Ramzan Kadyrov threatened those who admitted the idea of refusing to go to Ukraine that they would go to the hell.

Today, on July 18, Ramzan Kadyrov announced in his Telegram channel that "the 'North-Akhmat' special-purpose regiment named after Akhmat Kadyrov, a Hero of Russia, formed under the Russian MoD, has been staffed."

According to the head of Chechnya, the regiment is composed of the "fighters experienced in military operations in Syria and Ukraine." At the same time, Kadyrov has noted that "this is a combat structure that is highly demanded in modern realities, like the three already staffed battalions, "East-Akhmat", "West-Akhmat" and "South-Akhmat".
