Law enforcers interrogate father-in-law of editor-in-chief of "Fortanga" in Ingushetia

The father-in-law of Isabella Evloeva, the editor-in-chief of the "Fortanga" outlet, was detained by law enforcers in Ingushetia at a funeral and interrogated. This was reported by Evloeva herself, against whom a case of fakes about the Russian Army was opened earlier.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Isabella Evloeva, a journalist from Ingushetia, has been prosecuted for spreading false information about the use of the Russian Army after she published a post about the participation of children in a rally in support of the special operation in Ukraine. On June 7, it became known that law enforcers had searched the house of Evloeva's parents.

The fact that on July 4, law enforcers detained her father-in-law, Isabella Evloeva herself reported on her Telegram channel. "My elderly father-in-law, right from the funeral of his sister, was taken to the Investigating Committee and questioned about his son – that is, about my husband. They asked about his whereabouts, his business, what part he took in 2018-2019 protests, and so on. Two weeks before that, the same questions were asked to my husband's cousin," Ms Evloeva has explained.

"My husband is a protest activist in Ingushetia <…>. But almost four years have passed; they'd have waited for other four years! Participation in protests today is like a lever that authorities can use at any time to punish objectionable people and their relatives," Isabella Evloeva has stated.
