Former "Rosgvardiya" fighters from KBR disagree with court ruling

The servicemen of the "Rosgvardiya" (Russian Natural Guard), who were fired after leaving the special operation zone in Ukraine, have stated that they will appeal against the court ruling that denied their reinstatement at service.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 11, a lawsuit demanding to treat the dismissal from military service as illegal was lodged to the Nalchik Military Court. The claimant is a group of 115 former "Rosgvardiya" fighters; similar lawsuits were filed by other 24 persons.

On May 25, the Nalchik Garrison Military Court refused to satisfy the reinstatement claim lodged by 115 former "Rosgvardiya" servicemen, who were fired after leaving the special operation zone in Ukraine.

Besides, the court has rejected all the defence's motions, namely, to request a number of documents, to summon witnesses to the trial, Andrei Sabinin, an advocate, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"The court session has considered two opinions – the claimants' and respondents' ones. In fact, there were no other evidence that could somehow confirm the truthfulness of the claimants or respondents – no documents and no witnesses' testimonies," said the advocate.

Former "Rosgvardiya" servicemen told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that they would appeal against the court ruling.

Earlier, one of the claimants explained, on condition of anonymity, that they had gone to court not for salaries, pensions and other lost benefits. "We were fired illegally, and also accused of cowardice and desertion," he said.
