Opposition accuses Pashinyan of manipulations and deceit

At an evening protest in Yerevan, opposition politicians have stated that Pashinyan's manipulations and populism have led the country to disaster.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Armenian opposition has been holding protests since April 25 demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan. On May 25, for several hours, activists blocked the presidential residence and the building of the Security Council in Yerevan. Protest leaders have stated that they intend to hold demonstrations until the Armenian authorities change their position on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh.

For May 26, the movement coordinators announced a march starting from the building of the Supreme Judicial Council.

Authorities' daily lies during four years have caused defeat in the war and losses, Ishkhan Sagatelyan, vice-speaker of the parliament and a bureau member of the ARFD (Armenian Revolutionary Federation "Dashnaktsutyun"), has stated before the start of the march.

"Pashinyan had assured the Armenian society that he would not sign agreements in secret, but all these four years he was negotiating behind the society's back, which he failed and brought on a war. During the war, for all the 44 days, the society was deceived with promises of victory; and after the war, on the basis of oral agreements, authorities ceded territories in Syunik and Artsakh to the enemy. Today, Pashinyan and his team are negotiating the surrender of Armenia," the opposition politician has stated.
