Opposition blocks several streets in Yerevan

The Armenian opposition has resumed disobedience actions in Yerevan. Activists have blocked several streets; law enforcers are trying to restore the motor traffic.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Armenian opposition is holding daily protests in Yerevan, demanding the resignation of the Armenian Prime Minister, Nikol Pashinyan. Law enforcers are detaining demonstrators. Thus, on May 17, a total of 414 people were detained in Yerevan.

During the May 18 protests, oppositionists blocked some streets and traffic in Yerevan. More than a dozen protesters were detained after they paralyzed the work of the metro.

Opponents to Armenian authorities launched their protests on April 25 after Pashinyan expressed his readiness to "lower the bar" on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh.
