Gadjiev's defence demands to re-examine his articles

At the court session on the case of Abdulmumin Gadjiev, his defence put forward a petition demanding to comprehensively examine the journalist's articles.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Abdulmumin Gadjiev, a journalist of the "Chernovik" (Draft) outlet, as well as Abubakar Rizvanov, the head of the "Ansar" charity fund, and Kemal Tambiev are accused of financing terrorism. Gadjiev insists on his innocence, while his colleagues treat his prosecution as pressure on him.

On May 13, the Rostov District Military Court held another session on the above figurants' criminal case. As part of the court session, more defence witnesses were heard; and a petition was filed to conduct a comprehensive examination of Gadjiev's articles with the involvement of experts from various fields in order to thoroughly study the texts, through which, according to investigators, the journalist had committed the crime.

The court postponed the consideration of the petition, since the advocate, Arsen Shabanov, was not present at the session, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
