Ramzan Kadyrov gets Lieutenant General shoulder marks

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov got the Lieutenant General shoulder marks. The solemn ceremony took place in Grozny.

On March 28, Magomed Daudov, the speaker of the Chechen parliament, announced that Ramzan Kadyrov had been awarded the military rank of Lieutenant General. The new rank for Ramzan Kadyrov proved that the Kremlin appreciated his actions during the special military operation, Caucasian expert Ruslan Kutaev points out.

Ramzan Kadyrov noted that the event was “pleasant and exciting” for him, since he would have to “do a lot” in that rank, the RIA “Novosti” reports.

Meanwhile, Ramzan Kadyrov did not associate his promotion with his actions to cover the special military operation in Ukraine.

The new title was awarded to Ramzan Kadyrov for the special military operation in Ukraine, political analyst Dmitry Oreshkin noted. “Ramzan Kadyrov is awarded in order to strengthen the Vladimir Putin’s image among North-Caucasian figures who are fond of Russian rhetoric ... This is a PR act,” the political analyst said.

The “Caucasian Knot” has also reported that on April 3, Ramzan Kadyrov expressed his dissatisfaction with the fact that Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov did not comment on Ramzan Kadyrov’s promotion to the rank of Lieutenant General, while he stood up for TV presenter Ivan Urgant, who left Russia on vacation, and called him “a great patriot.”

Let us remind you that since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, Ramzan Kadyrov regularly reports about sending volunteers to Ukraine and posts videos from unit commanders.
