Colleagues of journalist Abdulmumin Gadjiev hold two pickets in Makhachkala

Magomed Magomedov, a deputy editor-in-chief of the "Chernovik" (Draft) portal, and Idris Yusupov, the journalist of the "Novoye Delo" outlet, went out to pickets in Makhachkala demanding to stop Abdulmumin Gadjiev's criminal case and release political prisoners.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that solo pickets are periodically held in Makhachkala in defence of Abdulmumin Gadjiev, the arrested journalist of the "Chernovik".

Abdulmumin Gadjiev is accused within the case of financing terrorism. His colleagues treat his prosecution as pressure on him.

On March 21, the first solo picket was held by Magomed Magomedov, a Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the "Chernovik". He demanded to release his colleague Abdulmumin Gadjiev and to stop his criminal prosecution. The second solo picket demanding to free all the political prisoners was held by Idris Yusupov, a journalist from the "Novoye Delo".

Magomed Magomedov was surprised by the high level of support from passers-by and passing drivers.

Idris Yusupov has also noted that the reaction of passers-by and drivers to the picket was higher than to a similar action held last Monday.
