Gas is supplied into Nagorno-Karabakh homes

The natural gas has begun arriving to more than half of Nagorno-Karabakh residents. Amid the cold weather, the outage lasted for 11 days due to an accident on the gas pipeline, Artak Beglaryan, the State Minister of the unrecognized republic, has announced.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on March 8, an accident occurred at the section of the Shushi-Zariflu gas pipeline, due to which the gas supply to Nagorno-Karabakh was cut off. On March 10, the Ombudsperson of Nagorno-Karabakh announced humanitarian problems due to a three-day gas supply outage.

The gas supply has been restored in Nagorno-Karabakh, the users have begun receiving it, Minister Beglaryan has informed. "At the moment, gas supply has been restored to more than half of consumers; and in the next few hours the rest of them will also be provided with natural gas," the minister has written today in his Telegram channel.

"It is noteworthy that today the height of the snow cover in Stepanakert reaches 30-40 centimetres; and in other dwelling settlements [of Nagorno-Karabakh] it is even higher, which is unprecedented for March. And in these conditions, the population was deprived of natural gas for more than 11 days," Artak Beglaryan has stressed.
