Russia and Ukraine agree on humanitarian corridors for civilians' evacuation

Following the results of the second round of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations, the parties managed to agree on security measures at the evacuation of civilians and the supply of medicines and food to the cities, the heads of delegations have noted.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 25, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that Vladimir Putin hold talks in order to avoid people's deaths.

On March 3, Belarus hosted the second round of Russian-Ukrainian talks. Three issues were discussed at the talks – the military and humanitarian ones, and the issue of a future political settlement, said the head of the Russian delegation, a presidential adviser Vladimir Medinsky.

"The parties have reached an understanding on the joint provision of humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of the civilian population, as well as for the delivery of medicines and food to the places of the most fierce hostilities, with the possibility of a temporary ceasefire in places where evacuation is taking place," Mykhailo Podolyak, a member of the Ukrainian delegation and advisor to the office of the President of Ukraine, has read the official communiqué.

At the same time, he has noted that the Ukrainian delegation did not receive the results they expected, and will continue the dialogue during the third round of negotiations, which will take place in the very near future, it follows from the video posted on the TASS website.
