Instagram users oppose participation of Chechens in battles in Ukraine

After the Ramzan Kadyrov’s report about the killed Chechen fighters, social media users pointed out that sending military personnel from Chechnya to Ukraine was an inhumane decision. Users called for an end to hostilities.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that today, Ramzan Kadyrov has reported that two natives of Chechnya were killed and six others were injured in Ukraine. It “was their choice of profession,” the leader of Chechnya said.

Today, the Ramzan Kadyrov’s report about two killed Chechen fighters has been disseminated, in particular, by the “Grozny” ChGTRK (Chechen State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company) and Instagram public accounts “About Chechnya and not only”, “eldit.net” and “ChP/Chechnya”. In their comments, most users expressed in Russian their condolences to the families of the killed militaries.

At the same time, many social media users spoke out against the participation of natives of Chechnya in the military conflict in Ukraine. “I beg you, for the sake of Allah, Ramzan, don’t send our guys to death … Don’t destroy our nation, which has barely got on its feet, don’t send our guys to fight,” wrote, in particular, user llliiwww. “Do you think our people suffered little? Why should mothers in their old age mourn their sons? This is not our war,” user heda_volk__95 expressed her opinion.

“They sent Chechens to Ukraine in vain,” user raialos noted. “Don’t take the lives of the guys, stop this whole mess before it’s too late, it won’t end in anything good,” wrote user raisat.kamilova.
