Yerevan denied Baku's accusations of shelling

The information that the Armenian party has shelled the positions of Azerbaijani soldiers in the Tovuz District has nothing to do with reality, the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Azerbaijan and Armenia are regularly blaming each other of shelling. Thus, on February 18, the Azerbaijani party stated that the Armenian militaries shelled the positions of Azerbaijani militaries located in the Tovuz District.

The information that Armenian militaries are shelling the positions of Azerbaijani soldiers located on this or that section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border does not correspond to reality, the "Arka.am" has informed today with reference to the Armenian MoD.

"Late in the evening on February 18, the Azerbaijani MoD issued a statement asserting that on the same day, units of the Armenian Armed Forces opened fire on the Azerbaijani combat positions located in the north-eastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The Armenian MoD calls on the Azerbaijani counterpart to refrain from spreading false information about the situation on the border, which in no way contributes to the establishment of stability on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border," the Armenian MoD has reported to the "Aisor.am" today.
