Kadyrov invites emigrants to Mitsaeva and return to Chechnya

The natives of Chechnya living in Europe, except for a few persons, may return to their homeland, like Rubati Mitsaeva, a former supporter of Akhmed Zakaev, Ramzan Kadyrov has stated.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 14, Mitsaeva returned to Chechnya. In October, she asked Kadyrov to allow her to return home, explaining the reason as her desire to live at home among her relatives.

"There are five or six persons who have no right to return to Chechnya. This is not their homeland, not their people; they have nothing sacred. As to the rest of the emigrants, I invite them with pleasure, and I will defend their rights," the RIA "Novosti" has quoted Mr Kadyrov as saying.

The statement was made amid a series of kidnappings of relatives of Chechen authorities' critics.

On December 22, the blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov, reported about kidnapping of his relatives living in Chechnya. On December 24, Khasan Khalitov, another critic of Chechen authorities, who lives in Turkey, reported about kidnapping of his relatives living in Northern Caucasus. Following other Kadyrov's critics, Aslan Artsuev, the director of the "Human Rights Centre Ichkeria", reported about the kidnapping of his four relatives living in Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has also reported that in 2016, Kadyrov voiced out threats against his compatriots living abroad.
