Armenia confirms return of ten POWs from Azerbaijan

The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has announced the names of ten military servicemen who were returned to their homeland; on November 16, they were taken prisoners of war (POWs) by Azerbaijan.

The information that Azerbaijan has, through the mediation of Charles Michel, the President of the European Council, handed over ten POWs to Armenia correspond to reality, Vaan Unanyan, the MFA press secretary, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, explaining that all of them were taken POWs on November 16, during the hostilities on the Azeri-Armenian border.

Let us remind you that earlier, five military servicemen who had been handed by Azerbaijan over to Armenia, after being released from captivity, were accused of violating the rules of performing their combat duty services. Any criminal prosecution of captured soldiers is unacceptable, Arthur Sakunts, a human rights defender, has stated.
