Students involved in checking QR code in shopping centres in Makhachkala

Students of higher and secondary educational institutions are involved as volunteers in checking QR codes of visitors to large shopping centres in Makhachkala, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media of Dagestan announces.

The “Caucasian Knot” has reported that on October 28, the Dagestani authorities imposed a requirement to present QR codes when visiting public institutions, including shopping centres, theatres, and gyms.

The Dagestani Ministry of Digital Development has organized a volunteer movement to check QR codes of visitors to shopping centres, a press officer reports. “Students of IT specialties of higher and secondary educational institutions work as ‘digital volunteers.’ They will be checking QR codes of visitors to shopping centres in Makhachkala,” said the press officer as quoted today by the “Interfax-Yug”.

The volunteer movement “Digital Volunteers” began working on December 8, announced Tamerlan Buganov, Acting Minister of Digital Development of Dagestan.
