Residents of Volgograd Region demand to punish officials who closed the oncology dispensary in Kamyshin

A video appeal to the Public Prosecutor General and the head of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) was recorded by residents of the Volgograd Region, who believe that regional officials should be punished under the criminal legislation for closing the oncology dispensary.

The video appeal was posted on November 22 on the "Electric Transport of Volgograd" YouTube channel. The description of the video says that "the appeal was made by residents of the city of Kamyshin and six districts of the Volgograd Region."

They demand to initiate criminal cases "against the officials of the Volgograd Regional Public Health Committee, who had decided to close the Kamyshin branch of the Volgograd Regional Clinical Oncology Dispensary," thereby causing colossal damage to our legitimate interests, the interests of our relatives and elderly parents."

The closure of the dispensary in Kamyshin has put cancer patients on the brink of survival, as it is physically impossible to get to Volgograd, while the local outpatient oncology care centre is unable to help all the patients, residents of Kamyshin told the "Caucasian Knot".
