Police get interested in third Ingush-Ossetian conflict in 12 days

In the village of Dachnoe, Prigorodny District, a fight broke out, which became the third conflict since November 4 with the participation of Ossetians and Ingushes. The fighters dropped their mutual claims, but the police will examine the incident, the North-Ossetian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the brawl in the Prigorodny District and the shootout in Vladikavkaz were signs that the Ossetian-Ingush conflict remains unresolved and will drag on for decades if it is not resolved now by the efforts of the authorities and the society. The situation is aggravated by officials' attempts to present the Ingush-Ossetian conflicts between as domestic and to dissociate themselves from the interethnic aspect, analysts have noted.

On November 4, the North-Ossetia MIA reported a brawl of Ossetians and Ingushes in the village of Dachnoye, Prigorodny District. The MIA reported the hospitalization of a wounded teenager. Local residents said there were two victims.

On November 15, in the outskirt of Dachnoe, another domestic conflict broke out among local residents of the Ingush and Ossetian nationalities.

This is the third Ossetian-Ingush conflict in the Prigorodny District that occurred within the past two weeks, the "Fortanga" has reported.
