Saakashvili’s Ukrainian advocate denied entry to Georgia

Yevgeny Grushovets, an advocate of former Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, complained that he flew to Tbilisi, but Georgian border guards sent him back to Ukraine without explaining any reasons for their actions.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Mikheil (Mikhail) Saakashvili is kept in Rustavi Prison, where he has been on a hunger strike since October 1 demanding his release.

Yevgeny Grushovets, a Ukrainian advocate of Mikhail Saakashvili, reported that he was not allowed to leave the airport in Tbilisi and was sent back. “They did not even explain any reasons. They took my passport and handed it over to the crew commander, as flight attendants told me. I explained that I came to Mikhail Saakashvili. But, alas, I am returning to Ukraine,” Yevgeny Grushovets reported on his Facebook page on the night of October 27.

The advocate has noted that a stewardess calls him a “deported passenger.” “Now I am returning to Kiev without my passport,” Yevgeny Grushovets wrote.
