Saakashvili's opponents hold action near Rustavi Prison
Opponents of Mikhail Saakashvili gathered in front of the Rustavi Prison and demanded severe punishment for the third president of Georgia and apologies from him.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Mikheil (Mikhail) Saakashvili is kept in Rustavi Prison, where he has been on a hunger strike since October 1 demanding his release. On October 23, his supporters held a rally near the prison demanding to release Saakashvili.
In the evening on October 25, Saakashvili's opponents gathered for a rally near Rustavi Prison No. 12, where the third president of Georgia is kept in custody, the "News-Georgia" writes.
Several dozen opponents took part in the action. According to their story, they all arrived from Kutaisi.
One of the opponents has invited the former president to come out and ask the people for forgiveness for all the crimes he had committed. Another one accused Saakashvili that during his rule "the country collapsed and the birth rate went down." The opponents have also suggested expelling Saakashvili's supporters from the country, and even imprisoning some of them, since "they want there to be gay people in Georgia, but that does not suit us."
