Baku responds to Iran's accusations of cooperation with Israeli militaries

Iran has accused of the presence of third countries' military servicemen, in particular, Israeli ones, on the Azerbaijan-Iranian border. In its turn, Baku has refuted the Iran's accusations, stating that Azerbaijan is able to independently defend its borders and has no need of foreign experts' help.

On October 11, Major General Ali Gudarzi, the commander of the frontier troops of the law enforcement forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI), made statements about the alleged Israel's military presence on the Azerbaijani-Iranian border, the "haqqin.az" reports.

On October 11, the Azerbaijani State Frontier Service (SFS) refuted the General's words. "There have never been third countries' forces on Azerbaijani border. They are not there now and will not be there in the future. <...> The allegations of the activities of foreign religious radicals in Azerbaijan, as well as the conduct of intelligence operations by third countries against Iran are false and have nothing to do with reality," reads the statement of the Azerbaijani SFS, which was translated by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The statement notes that the SFS is making use of the most modern equipment and needs no foreign experts to defend its borders.
