Eyewitnesses report details of beating up "Spartak" fans in Grozny

One of the two fans of the "Spartak" Football Club (FC), who were beaten with truncheons by servicemen of the Akhmat Kadyrov regiment at the Grozny stadium, was drunk, and the other only asked to let his comrade go, eyewitnesses assert. The fans of the Moscow team are aware of the rules of conduct in Grozny and could not offend the feelings of Muslims, the administrators of sports publics have suggested.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Alexander Meitin, the official of the Russian Premier League (RPL), has stated that there was no beating, although one of the fans behaved inappropriately and shouted insults "on ethnic grounds" towards local fans. The spokesman for the Akhmat Kadyrov regiment has treated the incident as "a minor skirmish."

According to a Moscow resident who attended the Akhmat-Spartak match, "Spartak" fans tried to defend their comrade, after which law enforcers "tied up" another fan of the Moscow club. Then, both fans were beaten up, an eyewitness asserts.

The above fan believes that law enforcers' actions were too aggressive.

Another fan of the "Spartak" FC named Ilya did not rule out that the incident was caused by the inappropriate behaviour of the fan under the influence of alcohol.

Evgeny Aksentiev, the administrator of the "Spartak World" community on the VKontakte social network, has doubted that the club's fans could offend Allah, and did not rule out that such a version appeared in order to justify the beating up of Chechnya's guests.
