FSB reports on prevention of terror act in Cherkessk

The Russia's FSB (Federal Security Bureau) agents have prevented a terror act in Cherkessk. A resident of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), born in 2001, has been detained on suspicion of preparing thereof.

The Cherkessk terror act was intended against law enforcers, the FSB has reported today on its website. According to investigators, the detainee acted on the instructions of militants from the "Islamic State" (IS), an international terrorist organization banned in Russia. "Components and tools for making an improvised explosive device (IED) were seized from the terrorist," the FSB has informed on its website.

The detainee's mobile phone contained correspondence with other terrorists, law enforcers have added. "During the investigation, the detainee confessed to the incriminated crimes," the message states.
