Dagestan resident convicted of video calling for extremism

A court has sentenced a resident of the Buynaksk District to two years of conditional imprisonment for posting videos calling for extremism.

The verdict was passed by the Buynaksk court. "A resident of the village of Verkhneye Kazanische posted videos on the Internet calling for extremist activities. He has pleaded guilty," a court spokesman has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in August a charge was brought against a resident of Dagestan, whom investigators treated as a member of the "At-Takfir Wal-Hijra" religious association recognized as extremist and banned in Russia.
