The "Fedeora Award" of the European film critics at the 55th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival was awarded to the film "The Otar's Death" by the Georgian film director Soso Bliadze.

The website of the Federation of European and Mediterranean Film Critics (Fedeora) notes that the award is presented to "a well-thought-out drama with a multi-stage narrative about two families united by misfortune."

Soso Bliadze's film was presented in one of the contest sections "To the East from the West". The "Otar's Death" tells how the 16-year-old Otar accidentally knocks down a man in a car, whose family demands a large sum of money from him and threatens to put the guy in jail. Otar's mother is looking for money to help her son.
