Azerbaijan accuses Armenia of border shelling

Tonight, Armenian soldiers have shelled the positions of Azerbaijani militaries located in the Kelbadjar District, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has informed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Armenia and Azerbaijan are periodically blaming each other of shelling. Today, the Azerbaijani MoD has announced that on August 24, Armenian militaries shelled the Azerbaijani positions in the Kelbadjar District. In its turn, Nagorno-Karabakh has reported about the shelling of its Armenian settlements by Azerbaijan.

The Armenian Armed Forces opened fired at Azerbaijani positions in the direction of the settlement of Istisu in the Kelbadjar District. The shelling was conducted from the positions stationed in the dwelling settlement of Yukhary Zagaly in the Basarkecheyar District (the Gegarkunik Region of Armenia), the Azerbaijani MoD has reported on its website.

"The enemy was suppressed by return fire. There are no losses among the personnel of the Azerbaijani Army," the MoD has stated.
